Spain occupies the 5th place in the world ranking for number of golf courses, with more than 500 golf courses. The province of Malaga is known as the Golf Coast for being the region of Europe with the largest number of courses, more than 60 courses.

With an average temperature of 20º and almost 3000 hours of sunshine, it offers unbeatable conditions for the organization of golf events in our country.
You can choose between courses overlooking the sea, in the mountains, in rural areas and even in big cities. Some of the best golf course designers in the world have left their experience in our country.
Some examples; as the circuit of the Club de Golf Valderrama and Real Club Sotogrande (both on the Costa de la Luz) are the work of Robert Trent Jones.
Cabell Robinson has designed the Finca El Cortesín Golf Club (in Costa del Sol) and La Reserva de Sotogrande (Costa de la Luz).
Former golfer Neil Coles designed the course at PGA Catalunya Resort (Girona) and Javier Arana has worked on the courses at Campo de Golf El Saler (Comunidad Valenciana) and Aloha Golf (Marbella). And in Cantabria, the Real Golf de Pedreña, with the participation of the Spanish champion Severiano Ballesteros.
